האם בכוחה של הארכיטקטורה להוביל אותנו אל העיר עזה שלא הכרנו? האם יש דרך להגיע לעיר עזה שבמצור? בקריאה ובניתוח של ההיסטוריה האורבנית של העיר עזה בין השנים 1975-1982, דרך חומרים ראשוניים שרואים אור בפעם הראשונה, ניתן לבחון את העיר כישות היסטורית וחומרית. המתודולוגיה ההיסטורית של ערים בקונפליקט תבחן דרך שתי פרספקטיבות משלימות: מצד אחד, לימודים ילידיים והאתגרים שהם מציבים לפרדיגמה של חברת המתיישבים, ומצד שני קריאה של ארכיטקטורה ותכנון כייצור תרבותי.
ההרצאה התקיימה במסגרת סדרת ההרצאות "סליחה איך מגיעים ל...?" ב-1:1 מרכז לאמנות ופוליטיקה, המציגה מידע על ערים מרכזיות באיזור המזה"ת ואפריקה.

Is it in the power of architecture to lead us to the city of Gaza we did not know? Is there a way to get to Gaza City while under siege? In reading and analyzing the urban history of Gaza City between the years 1975-1982, through preliminary materials published for the first time, the city can be examined as a historical and material entity. The historical methodology of cities in conflict will be examined through two complementary perspectives: on the one hand, indigenous studies and the challenges they pose to the settler society paradigm, and on the other, a reading of architecture and planning as cultural production.
The lecture took place as part of the series of lectures "Excuse me, how do you get to ...?" at 1: 1 Center for Art and Politics, which presents information on major cities in the Middle East and Africa.
